Pathology services are professional medical services that are billed separately from hospital or facility charges. If a specimen was evaluated as part of your care, you may receive a separate bill for pathology services. 

Professional billing for Southern Ohio Pathology Consultants is managed by our billing partner. For questions related to statements, insurance claims, payments, or billing notices, please contact the billing service listed on your statement.

You may receive a secure text message from our billing partner regarding your billing statement. These messages are intended to provide timely notification and access to your statement.

If you prefer not to receive text notifications, you may opt out by replying STOP to the message or by contacting the billing service listed on your statement.

If you do not view or respond to electronic billing notifications, a paper statement may be mailed to the address on file.

Insurance coverage for pathology services varies by plan. For questions regarding coverage, benefits, or claim status, please contact your insurance provider or the billing service listed on your statement. 

Southern Ohio Pathology Consultants provides anatomic and clinical pathology services to hospitals and outpatient facilities. These services support accurate diagnosis and patient care but do not include direct clinical treatment.
